Most used storage tanks were once used as milk cooling tanks. When milk storage tanks are no longer functioning properly or when they have been replaced by a more recent, or simply a better, model, they are still perfectly suitable as storage tanks for all kinds of liquids.

When a milk cooling tank no longer cools (properly), and is therefore no longer suitable for storing milk, it is replaced. Used storage tanks which are no longer able to cool are extremely suitable for storing for example:

- Cleaning fluids
- Solvents
- Fuel
- Oil
- Dyes
- Food supplements
- Bacteria cultures
Obviously it would be money wasted to purchase a brand new tank for such purposes if you could buy a perfectly serviceable used storage tank for a fraction of the price of a new tank.
